The Sparrow & The Snail
In a lush, green meadow, a sparrow known for his swift flights boasted to all who would listen, "I am the fastest bird in this meadow, and none can beat me in a race!" A snail, hearing the sparrow's bragging, responded, "Speed isn’t everything. I'd bet I could beat you in a race."
The other animals laughed heartily at the snail's audacity. But the sparrow, amused and confident of his victory, agreed to the challenge. "Let’s race to the other end of the meadow!" he declared.

The race began, and immediately, the sparrow soared into the sky, covering distance with breathtaking speed. Looking down, he saw the snail inching along at his own steady pace. Feeling overconfident, the sparrow decided to rest on a branch, thinking, "I have all the time in the world."
After enjoying a short nap, the sparrow was awakened by the cheering of the animals. Panicking, he looked down and saw the snail nearing the finish line. He flapped his wings and sped towards the goal, but it was too late. The snail had won.
The meadow erupted in disbelief and admiration for the snail's persistence. The sparrow, embarrassed and humbled, realized that overconfidence had been his downfall.
